is brilliant. Snow abounds - everywhere. Trails are wide and incredibly
fun, perfectly groomed. The landscape is so vast, so colossal, that
you’re left breathless. As you approach the river on a network
of small local trails that wind past ancestral homes and across farm
yards, then out into the fields, suddenly the St. Lawrence River spans
for as far as the eye can see.
If you keep to the shores, you travel from one village to the
next on delightful trails all the way to Baie-Saint-Paul, Les Éboulements,
La Malbaie, Saint-Siméon and even Isle-aux-Coudres, accessible
to snowmobilers by free ferry transit. Or, point towards the
mountains for your first glimpse of the Charlevoix crater’s
surreal wall of cliffs. An endless string of tall snowy peaks,
it’s a crown fit for a titan.
